Music at HUMC

 

Music is an important part of worship life at Hillsboro. We have a full time organist and pianist, and many members are singers and instrumentalists who lend their talents to the services. We enjoy a blended style of music, including the great classic hymns as well as praise songs and contemporary Christian songs. Our musicians provide music that ranges in genre and style. Instrumentation including mandolin, guitars, organ, keyboard are the norm. All music praising our Lord and Savior is appreciated here! We are intentional in invited artists from outside our own congregation to share their talents as featured music.

 

Recently we have hired a new Youth Director, Daira Curran who is an accomplished vocal artist  and a vocal performance graduate of Belmont University Nashville, TN. with a degree in vocal performance.  She has a music ministry "I Am Remnant "  www.iamremnant.comprovide special music at the church, her passion for our youth and music allows her to be a servant in this way when the opportunity arises. of which she is available to share her witness and testimony. Though this part of her ministry is not in her job description and she is not expected to 

Many special services have music as an integral part, including Christmas Eve, Good Friday, Palm Sunday, Easter Sunrise Service, and Easter Service.
